How To Be Legendary

Today is a very big day for me, and I hope it turns out to be a very big day for you, too. Today, I’m releasing my eBook manifesto How To Be Legendary: A Realistic Guide to Being the Superhuman You’re Supposed to Be. This manifesto is my attempt to change lives, and you’re the guinea pigs. Only you can tell me if I’ve succeeded.

You can (and should) get your copy of How To Be Legendary here. It’s free, so go ahead and grab it before you forget. You have nothing to lose but limitations.

I’m very proud of How To Be Legendary. It took me months to write, and a few weeks to work together with Marty Whitmore (illustrations) and Pamela Wilson’s company (design) to make it look amazing. The final result is a cornerstone work that turned out to be (if I may be totally immodest) off-the-hook fantastic and exactly what I’d hoped it would be. This book represents a huge part of who I am, what I stand for, what this blog is about, and what I consider to be my mission here, on this planet, while I’m alive.

It’s about becoming better. Becoming more. It’s about actually reaching the goals you set instead of constantly being frustrated by failure. It’s about always growing, always moving relentlessly toward becoming the superhumans that we were all meant to be.

If you want a formula, this is it. I’ll warn you, though, that it’s probably not what you want to hear… but it’s the truth.

I’m tired of bullshit. I’m tired of having smoke blown up my ass. And holyfuckingshit am I tired of being told to settle for “good enough” in this life. I’m tired of being looked at funny because I want to always become better and to become more. I’m tired of being told that I should be grateful for what I have and to stop pushing so hard for more.

How To Be Legendary is 73 pages of intense, pragmatic ass-kicking for those who aren’t willing to settle for ordinary.

Then spread the word, and tell your friends.

I never make comments but I just had to let you know that I am incredibly excited to read this, having been a faithful follower of your blog for a while. I expect it to be nothing short of amazing, coming from you! :)

    • Johnny says:

That’s outstanding… let me know what you think!

      • Sivani says:

Alright, finished it last night… and I loved it! You put everything forward in your typical, no-bullshit way which I really appreciate. I particularly enjoyed the lie of zero sum and how you addressed it, since it’s something I’ve found myself thinking about a lot in the past. Sometimes I catch myself feeling guilty for wanting too much… but like you rightly said, you’re not taking anything away from anyone, and if you’re successful you’ll end up benefitting everyone around you as well. It’s okay to strive for something more, because we all deserve to be legendary. Right? :)

Been waiting on this. Love reading your blog. Love your outlook on life. Keep on kicking major ass, brotha!

  3. Remco says:

As many others I have been a silent follower of your blog for a year or so now but this time I am speaking up! After quickly scanning through the manifesto, I’m super-excited to go really read it and follow up on it. Some day I’ll be Legenadary too!

Thank you so much for this Johnny!

  4. Lianne says:

Another peep steps out of the dark and into the light. I will be silent no longer. Thanks so much for this Johnny. I’ve been forwarding your blog posts to friends but now you’ve given us something we can really sink our teeth into. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this kick in the butt my whole life. I’m ready for the hard work. Here’s to the 3 1/2 minute mile!

  5. Claudia says:

    Johnny…marry me!

  6. Hey Johnny,

Super excited to read this! I’m sure it’ll be great.

Seems like I’m having trouble receiving it, though- I’ve still never gotten the confirmation email despite opting in a few minutes after you posted it on FB this morning (probably 5 hours ago at least) and trying two different emails.

Any idea what could be up? Any other way I could get a copy?

    Thanks,
    Beau

    • Upon further review, it turns out I’m just an idiot! Forgot I’m using a service called unroll.me that batches email newsletters and delivers them later. Since I was already on your list it got caught in that.

      Carry on with the awesomeosity.

  7. Pamela says:

Brilliant. Affirming. Grateful I’m on your list.

  8. Justin says:

Haven’t even gotten 2 pages into the pdf and am already grateful you wrote this. This is exactly what I believe and you put it together so well. Lies, all lies.. Wake up world, there are unlimited possibilities in front of you.

Look forward to the rest man.
    Thanks

    Freaking Sweet Johhny!
I read it, loved it, printed it and am leaving it around my place for my friends to “stumble upon.”
Just you wait, Legendary is coming!

  10. Johnny says:

    Hey all,

I’m glad that you’re all loving the manifesto. That’s why I wrote it. Now, stick around, and DO SHIT instead of just being inspired, okay?

  11. Bill Bostic says:

Reading “How To Be Legendary” helped me realize that all my screw-ups, frustrations and hard times were part of the process of becoming my version of legendary. I’m finally at age 54 starting the “no excuses” phase of my life that you outlined in his manifesto.

  12. Kim Taylor says:

I find myself chanting – be epic – do something epic – and then I do. Thanks Johnny you made me better.

  13. sam says:

Signed up to you today after reading your book ‘the universe doesn’t…’ So glad I did. You’re writing is fantastic. It’s entertaining, it’s real and it’s relevant (to me at least).
You can pretty much guarantee I will be reading many (if not all) of your books.
You sir, have done something epic.
